Together We Will

Shamlu Dudeja, CF Chairperson, travelled in 2005 to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to oversee the rebuilding of 800 homes after the 2004 Tsunami that devastated the islands.

In three batches of relief work, Calcutta Foundation in association with the Rotary Club travelled to the Andaman and Nicobar islands, to deliver food, clothing and other necessities. Through a project called ‘Together We Will,’ in the March of 2005, the CF Team worked to rebuild 800 homes in the Hut Be Islands. Funds were raised in association with the Pakistani Cricket Team, through a larger fundraiser auction with Steve Waugh as the Chief Guest.
